So I was hoping somebody could point me to some posts where the real world music production performance of the 12 core M2 Pro Mac Mini is discussed and analyzed. I unfortunately haven't had time to read through all 24 pages of this thread. I just joined after 10+ years of lurking. We should just bury Apple with request to get Logic in line with what Reaper can do !Īlso In this video he does a full mix, with 4 / 5 plugins on tracks + a heavy loaded master bus ( on and off). It's a shame but it reveals huge differences in power. Not THAT crazy better to buy hips of RAM.īear in mind those CPU scores do not reflect exactly in music as we have notice some machine did much better than others.Īlso, note that Reaper does use the machine's full CPU when Ableton and Logic don't. On his test, 8go and 16go do pretty much the same, and 64go around double perf. RAM, should take care of virtual instruments. Mutli core, will determine how many plugins overall you can spread on all tracks, + automation etc. Single core for how many plugins you can add on one single channel.

So when I am looking at benchmarks like from here:- Īm I interested in the single core or multicore mark for Logic Audio DAW etc.
